Perry Middle School Ground Breaking Ceremony

Posted Date: 06/09/26 (11:50 AM)

Friday May 15, 2026, students, staff and board members hosted a groundbreaking celebration for the new Perry Middle School building project. The school will house fifth through eighth graders and will be located just east of the high school on 13th Street. Following Perry’s previous participation in the State of Ohio’s ELPP program to build three elementary schools, the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) presented a remarkable 100% funding offer for the new middle school. This valuable partnership with the OFCC allows Perry to move forward with construction without asking for any additional tax dollars from the community.

The 156,000 square foot building was designed by BSHM Architects and will be managed by Hammond Construction. We look forward to welcoming students to the new Perry Middle School for the 2028-2029 school year.

“As we continue to move through the process of upgrading our district’s facilities, our goal is to create spaces that will provide our students with meaningful, relevant 21st century learning opportunities. This building will continue to drive educational growth both now and well into the future.”  - Nathan Stutz, Superintendent.
